Ekiti musicians to wax album for Fayemi

Members of Performing Musicians Association of Nigerian , (PMAN),   Ekiti State chapter has promised to wax a unity album to extol the virtues of Dr Kayode Fayemi,  the governor of the state and expose the pristine culture of Ekiti State.

 

The state chairman, Chief Adankara Olalere disclosed this when he led some members of the  Association on a courtesy  visit  to the state  Council for Arts and Culture, government secretariat ,Ado Ekiti.

The Association also  expressed its resolve to collaborate with Ekiti State Council of Arts and Culture in its bid to promote culture and tradition.

 

Chief Adankanra said the association would soon commence  work on a record tagged ” Voice of Ekiti” a collaborative music of all musicians in the state to add value to Ekiti and promote its cultural values.

 

“Ekiti musician are talented and we are  ready to use our talents to promote Dr Fayemi’s agenda of value restoration, cultural rejuvenation and moral reorientation”

In his remarks,  Ambassador Wale Ojo  Lanre said part of the council’s mandate is to promote any cultural activities, acts or deeds  that will  add value to the state.

 

He pointed out  ” Our collaboration  will  not only add value but to enhance your economic potential and status .”

Director General Ojo – Lanre tasked Ekiti PMAN to steer clear of rhythms  that celebrate immorality and sing songs which extol values , morality , hard work, honesty  and sincerity of purpose’

 

He also urge them to always involve  and trained  younger ones in  projecting the cultural heritage and value of Ekiti people.

COZA SAGA: Dakolo Demands Apology From Pastor Fatoyinbo

Busola Dakolo has requested that the founder and Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, apologise for allegedly defiling her. 

Dakolo in a writ filed on her behalf by her lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi and Co of Law corridor, demanded that Pastor Fatoyinbo pen a clearly worded apology on the front page of at least two national newspapers and two national television stations for seven days running consecutively.

She also demanded that Mr Fatoyinbo address a ‘personal apology letter’ showing honest remorse for his misdeed.

Contained in the suit obtained Exclusively by Channels Television, Mrs Dakolo told a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja that the defilement by Pastor Fatoyinbo has adversely affected her marital sex life.

In a related development, Dakolo also demanded that a cost of action estimated at the sum of N10,000,000 (ten million naira) be paid.

In her suit, Mrs Dakolo emphasized that Pastor Fatoyinbo “forcefully pushed her unto a couch close to the front door of her house, pinned her to the couch, undressed her, caressed her body, fondled her breasts, exposed his genitals to her glare, forcing a bottle of soda (Krest) down her throat thereby making her breathing difficult.”

She further claimed that all the while he was covering her mouth to muffle her screams and threatened her life on the 23rd of September, 2002.

According to her, these actions “both jointly and/or severally are outrageous and reckless and have caused her emotional distress” amounting to intentional infliction of emotional distress on her.

Mrs Dakolo also stated that on another occasion, Pastor Fatoyinbo also drove her to a secluded area, forcefully pulled her out of the car, undressed her, spanked her buttocks, threatened her life, caressed her body, fondled her breasts and exposed his genitals to her glare, this she said took place on the 26th of September, 2002.

 

She described the sexual intercourse Fotoyinbo allegedly had with her on both days, jointly and/or severally are outrageous and reckless and amounts to intentional infliction of distress on her.

Mrs Dakolo also asked the court to declare that Fatoyinbo’s denial of his alleged acts contained jointly and/or severally through a press statement he released on June 28 2019, had caused her continuous emotional distress and amounted to intentional infliction of emotional distress on her.

According to the writ, Pastor Fatoyinbo is expected to cause an appearance to be entered for him in an action at the suit of Mrs Dakolo, within fourteen days of being served.

Busola Dakolo, wife of the musician, Timi Dakolo, had in June accused the founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Pastor Abiodun Fatoyinbo of defiling her.

In an interview that went viral all over social media, she said that while she was still a teenager, the cleric visited her parents’ home early one morning when no one was in the house and raped her.

Met Police to investigate Khafi for appearing on BBNaija ‘without permission’

The Metropolitan Police says it is investigating Khafi Kareem, a Big Brother Nigeria housemate, for appearing on the reality show without permission.

The 29-year-old police officer is said to be on unpaid leave from the Lambert Station where she has been working since 2015 as a PC.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Met said Khafi’s request to take part in the reality show had been declined and that the Directorate of Professional Standards (DPS) in London would investigate the situation.

“A PC attached to the Met transformation command requested permission to take part in a reality entertainment show in Nigeria. Permission was not given,” the Met statement read.

“The Met Police is aware that the officer has since appeared on the show without authority. The Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and would be carrying out an investigation into the circumstances.

“The Met does not support the officer’s appearance nor does she represent Met while appearing on the show.”

The Sun UK had reported that Khafi might lose her job for having sex on the show, which is aired live.

Khafi had told BBNaija she joined the police after her friend was murdered in 2007 adding that she was on Met’s female genital mutilation team.

In a statement released on Monday, her team had threatened to sue The Sun UK for publishing an article that is “damaging to the image and livelihood” to her.

Davido, others mourn as DJ Arafat dies

Popular Ivorian musician, Houon Ange Didier, popularly known as DJ Arafat is dead.

The 33-year-old died on Monday at about 8am following a bike accident Sunday night in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire.

According to reports, his motorcycle was hit by a car driven by a journalist from Radio Côte d’Ivoire.

DJ Arafat was reportedly unconscious while being rushed to the hospital before he died on Monday.

According to BBC Afrique, he was a highly celebrated and accomplished Coupe Decale Artist.

He won the Best Francophone Award at the 2015 MAMAs and was nominated for Best African Act at the 2015 MTV EMA.

In May 2019, DJ Arafat’s Moto Moto hit 1 million YouTube views in less than 24 hours.

Music superstar Davido took to his twitter and Instagram pages to pay tributes to the late artiste.

He simply wrote: “RIP Yorobo. I love you”.
