I want to appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ignore the rantings and vituperation of the disgruntled members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of Oyo State who are grumbling and murmuring over the rumoured and yet-to-be-announced nomination of Alhaji Ahmed Raji SAN as a prospective Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
I am strongly appealing to the President to ignore those political jobbers who lack both political and electoral values as shown during the last general election in the state.
Alhaji Ahmed Raji SAN is neither a politician nor a political jobber but a technocrat and a philanthropist of note who does not need political patronage or contract to make a living, but whom God has used and is still being used to make meaningful contributions and developments to Oyo State, its people (indigenous and residents) and government.
Hardly can one find any politician in Oyo State who has not, at one time or the other, sought assistance -financial or otherwise-from Alhaji Ahmed Raji SAN. It is therefore very disturbing and shameful for those same bunch of ungrateful politicians to be crying wolves now over the alleged nomination of Alhaji Ahmed Raji SAN, who is their benefactor, as a Minister in the country.
The political jobbers need to be told and informed that the era of” jobs for the boys” is over in the country as far as the present government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is concerned. The earlier that all political jobbers get a second address, the better for themselves and for the country.
