Oyo govt to revive pace setter asphalt quarry plant

In his  bid to resuscitate some abandoned Oyo state government projects across the state, Governor Seyi Makinde has visited Pace setter Quarry Asphalt plant in Ojedeji village along Moniya-Iseyin road in Akinyele local government.

The inspection, according to Governor Makinde was targeted  at  reviving the Quarry Asphalt Site in order to reduce the money spent on road projects by the state government.

He, also inspected the abandoned mini tractors at the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Agodi Secretariat Ibadan.

The Asphalt plant was established during Senator Rashidi Ladoja’s administration.

Governor Seyi Makinde reiterated his administration’s commitment to bring much desired change to the state through developmental programmes, stressing the need for the government to urgently revived the moribund quarry asphalt site toward boosting the economy of the state

He also frowned at the condition of Moniya- Iseyin road which has been abandoned by the contractor, Oladiran Alabi Engineering.

Also the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa in a chat with journalists said the Multi million naira Quarry Asphalt plant and abandoned Moniya- Iseyin road is expected to receive adequate attention under the present administration.
