Oyo Decides: Makinde wins governorship reelection bid

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced Governor Seyi Makinde as the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in Oyo state.

The Returning Officer, Prof Adebayo Simeon Bamire announced the result on Sunday in Ibadan, the state capital

According to the official announcement, Governor Makinde polled 563,756 to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Senator Teslim Folarin who scored 256,685, among other candidates.
