THE Yoruba people in Canada under the aegis of Yoruba Community Association (YCA) is billed to host a prominent custodian of culture in Osun State, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi as its Special Guest at a town hall meeting slated for Sunday April 16.
The event will take place by 0400p.m at room 305, Thistledown Community Center, 925 Albion road (albion and islington intersection), Canada.
According to a press statement issued by the Palace’s Press Secretary, Ibrahim Alli, on Friday disclosed that the royal father, Oba Akanbi who is also a member of the community -YCA while living in Canada will participate in questions and answers among yoruba nation based in Great Toronto area (GTA) , Canada.
Mrs Sola Olubunmi, the YCA President informed that the royal and historic visit of Oluwo is being hosted by all the 19 affiliated Associations, including Osun State Descendants Association, Ibadan Descendants Development Union, Kwara State Association of Nigeria, Canada, Ekiti-Kete Cultural Association, Owo Community Association, Ijebu Heritage Association, Ile-Oluji Cultural Association and others.
