Shittu expresses confidence in Ajimobi.

BARRISTER Adebayo Shittu, the Minister of Communications has expressed confidence that the incumbent Governor, Abiola Ajimobi and other candidates aspiring to be governor in the forthcoming 2019 governorship election in Oyo state will support his ambition.

Shittu, a gubernatorial aspirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC) further declared that he will clinch the part’s ticket. Featuring on a private radio station in Ibadan, the state capital during a personality interview, the minister said he is the choice of the masses and have all it takes to take Oyo state to a greater height.

Also, he rated Ajimobi’s administration in the state better in terms of infrastructural development and provision of other basic amenities .

“In fairness, my Egbon, Goveror Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi have done well and we should give it to him”, said Shittu.

This development came as a surprise to many political observers who see the relationship between Shittu and Ajimobi as a cat and dog relationship due to some media war that ensued between the duo in recent times where the minister and loyalists of the governor engaged in battle of wit.

Very close aide of the minister told Mega Icon Magazine that his boss is a matured politician and he will do everything to win everybody’s support in the coming election.

While speaking on Oke Ogun agitation to produce the next governor, Shittu said “ if we can be good enough to produce deputy governor , we should be given the chance of producing a governor”.
