Senator Buhari urges Oyo residents to obtain voter cards.

SENATOR Abdulfatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial District at the upper chamber of the National Assembly has urged eligible voters in the state who are yet to obtain voter cards to do so during the Independent National Electoral (INEC) continuous registration exercise billed for tomorrow, Thursday  April 27.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime, Buhari gave this urge while sensitizing people on the developments in Ogbomoso yesterday.

He said, ” voters card is a potent instrument which every eligible voters must possess to exercise his or her  right to vote and be voted for as a citizen of Nigeria’

” We are approaching another election year when we will vote those who will represent us at various level and for anybody to participate fully in the election voters card is the instrument and weapon”.

“Those who just reach the age of 18 and those above 18 and are yet to register should go to INEC office in their respective local governments to register and get their cards”, the Senator stressed.

Buhari while cautioning politicians and INEC staff against any form of manipulation during the exercise, noted , “it’s an exercise that will enhance development, it should not be manipulated”

” Don’t sell your card, no amount of money given to you when you sell will alleviate your problems, but keep it and use it to vote for the change you want to see in your domain”, Buhari continued.
