The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Dr Ifeanyi Uba for one month following his decision to take the party to court over the Anambra State PDP governorship party primary.

Uba had rejected the result of the Anambra PDP primary, alleging that he was rigged out.

Before dragging the party to court, the governorship aspirant for Anambra state had raised series of allegations against the PDP and the Committee that conducted the parties primary, accusing them of carrying out sinister agenda.

Uba was issued a query on Wednesday and given 24 hours to reply to it by the National Caretaker Committee (NCC), but he refused to respond to it, leading the NCC to take the decision to suspend him from the party.

Uba’s name has since been forwarded to National Disciplinary Committee for further action.

Also, Senator Kashamu Buruji who was also queried by the NCC has responded to the query.

He was queried for allegedly sponsoring court cases against the party for the dissolution of the Ogun State PDP Executive and constitution of a new caretaker committee as approved by the August 12 non-elective National convention.

The party, however, said the Ogun state born Senator has had his matter referred to the Disciplinary Committee for further action.

The committee is to report back on the two issues to the NCC in the next two weeks.
