AHEAD of 2019 general election, the Senator, representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Adesoji Akanbi on Friday visited some elders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Ibarapa land.
Akanbi during the solidarity and consultation meeting where he formally informed the party chieftains in Ibarapa land about his ambition to contest in the 2019 governorship election in the state, also solicited for their support.
Highlighting some of his projects facilitated to the nine local governments in the senatorial district, the lawmaker urged the people of the state to continue to support the APC government in its transformational programmes across the country.
“All the nine local governments in Oyo South Senatorial District have benefited from our constituency projects and skills acquisition Programmes”, he added.
Akanbi further lauded the state governor, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi for the unprecedented achievements since inception of his adminstration 7 years ago
In a related development, the former member, Federal House of Representatives, Akanbi also commissioned solar powered boreholes and ablution points at Igboora Central Mosque where he observed the Jumat prayer.
In their separate remarks, the APC leaders commended Senator Akanbi for fulfilling his electioneering promises, but urged him to do more for Ibarapa land especially in the area where his constituency projects has not reached.
