#OsunDecides: INEC is ill prepared, SDP candidate, Omisore laments

THE governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the ongoing struggle for the Abere Government Secretariat in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore has registered his displeasure, saying the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC ) is ill prepared for the election.

Omisore, also alleged the claimed irregularities recorded so far as a ploy of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC)

Addressing Journalists at his polling Unit, old Museum, in Ile-Ife, the SDP candidate said, “I have had reports in some local governments where there are no card readers at all, where some are malfunctioning. Parts of Ife South, some did not even see electoral materials at all, the irregularities is so much. There are problems everywhere, they arrested APC thugs in Osogbo.

“INEC has not done very well ,they are very careless, their card readers are not working. At Ofatedo, they’ve not seen single card reader since morning and this is 11. am”.

While calling for calm, Omisore said, “we have to sit up and esnure that these things work, we will remain persevere and endure to the end despite the fact that the card reader is slow. We ‘ve seen APC thugs in uniform and others.

But, Dr Joe Odemakin, the convener of Women Arise for Change Initiative and the Campaign for Democracy said the election exercise was peaceful so far, disclosing that fake INEC officials were arrested at Otan Ayegbaju.
