Speaking at the well-attended victory party organised in his honour, Oseni, who expressed appreciation for the people’s effort at the last election, noted that the purpose of the event was to enable him to show gratitude to the people who freely gave him their trust and mandate to represent them at the green chambers.

The lawmaker, in a statement by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele, reassured the constituents that they will reap the fruit of their labour, stressing that there is renewed hope for Nigeria and Nigerians with the present leadership under President Bola Tinubu.

He called for patience, prayers, and support of Nigerians for the leadership, adding that Tinubu will restore the country’s lost glory.

The statement read, ” With the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, presiding over the 10th Senate of the National Assembly, and Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass as the Speaker of, the House of Representatives, and with the support of Senators of the 10th Senate, and members of the federal House of Representatives, I want to assure you with the support and commitment of all the Senators and Federal House of Representatives members, whom have signed, that they will all support the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, we will have a new Nigeria.

Describing the APC as the strongest party in Oyo state, having won the three senatorial seats of Oyo South, Oyo Central, and Oyo North Senatorial districts, including nine (9) federal constituency seats out of fourteen (14), the governorship candidate of the party in the last election, Senator Teslim Folarin in his address, noted that he was “thrown under the bus” as part of the high wired politics and intrigues of the party to secure victory during the February 25 presidential election.

Speaking further, Folarin rekindled party members’ hope despite the loss at the governorship election.

According to him, despite the loss, APC remains the strongest party in Oyo state having won all three Senatorial seats and nine (9) out of the fourteen (14 ) House of Representatives seats during the last election.

“If we are talking about the strongest party in Oyo State today, it is APC. We won three senatorial seats and nine out of the fourteen (14) federal constituency seats. Our people are already in the election tribunal and I can tell you that we would win two more federal constituency seats. On the governorship election, we were thrown under the bus”, Folarin re-echoed.

While charging Nigerians to give total support to the President Bola Tinubu-led government, Folarin appealed to all APC members in the state, who one way or the other felt aggrieved to forgive and forget the past.

He expressed the belief that with President Tinubu, there is hope for Nigeria.

The highlight of the event was the donation of ten million naira (N10 million) to the best two wards in the Ibarapa East/Ido federal constituency in fulfillment of Oseni’s promise before the conduct of the last election.
