Opinion: Tegbe Cares | By Adebiyi Akeem

It is in controvertible, Mogaji Olasunkanmi Tegbe is an household name in Oyo-state polity. Contrary to wild insinuations from certain quarters, he is not a greenhorn in the politics of Nigeria.

From all indications, politicking is his familiar terrain having had his say on who held one Political post or the orther for several years back. At various times, he had sponsored many successful Political office holders based on his conviction that Politics and politicking remains an avenue through which the masses’ welfare can be promoted and sustained.

As a devout Christian of Anglican descent, he believes that his loss of the APC’s Gubernatorial ticket by hair’s breadth is an act of God. Yet, he reckons with the fact, future holds fortunes for him on the political turf of Oyo-state and by extension, Nigeria.

Prior to this unfortunate development, he had perfected his cardinal programmes for the citizens in readiness for the plum job.

The programmes under reference are well suited for the overall growth and development of Oyo-state. They are all encompassing and projected towards making life more abundant for all the citizens in Oyo-state. Undoubtedly, the programmes are outcomes of social, Political and economic researches as conducted by the experts.

Judging from his background as a development practitioner and big time consultant on busines, finance and engineering services with relevant cognate years of experience as an efficient administrator, he has what it takes to govern Oyo-state.

Having used his professional and technical expertise for the benefits of the citizens in some states and beyond the shores of Nigeria, he has proved his mettle.

His impressive academic records as a first class graduate of civil Engineering before veering into Accounting practice, Business management and public Administration, are quite commendable. These attributes gives him an edge when compared with others eyeing the job.

Tegbe’s foundation represents the hub for philanthropic deeds. Tegbe is imbued with the ethos and zest of humanitarian gestures. Records abounds that his foundation had assisted the needy in their thousands over the years. These ranged from the provision of seed capitals to the operators of SMES and those in the retail business. Other beneficiaries include churches, mosques, the physically challenged, hospitals and orphanages, just to mention a few.

Up till now, he has always used his influence to provide jobs for the qualified and competent youths in the corporate world. Tegbe is a good party man who has assisted the party in several ways-funds, utility materials like generating plants and the like.

Oyo-state needs an experienced administrator of Tegbe’s status. Today, virtually all the contemporary issues in the political administration of Oyo-state cries for attention.

Education, Health, Environment, Transportation, Security, Agriculture, Economy, social and physical infrastructure are poorly and badly managed.

Tegbe’s “CARES” shall prove adequate to take care of all the defects. How? The procedures shall be outlined serially in the next schedule of Publications.
