Open Letter to Governor Seyi Makinde on Apete-Akufo Road

Dear Governor Seyi Makinde,

On behalf of the concerned residents and commuters of the Apete-Akufo road in Oyo State, I am writing to express our sincere gratitude for the efforts you have made in improving the condition of this road. The work done has significantly enhanced vehicular movement and business activities in the area, for which we are truly thankful.

However, we have noticed that the improved smoothness of the road has led to a concerning increase in reckless driving and accidents, some of which have been fatal, resulting in the loss of lives. Therefore, we humbly urge you to consider urgently installing speed breakers at strategic locations along the Apete-Akufo road to address this issue.

The implementation of these speed breakers will play a crucial role in reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring the safety of all road users, including drivers and pedestrians. This measure will help strike a balance between improved road conditions and responsible driving behavior, ultimately safeguarding the lives of those who use this route.

We deeply appreciate your continued commitment to the development and well-being of our community.

We believe that the addition of speed breakers on the Apete-Akufo road will further amplify the positive impact of your efforts and contribute significantly to the overall safety and welfare of our residents.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your prompt consideration and action on this request.

Yours sincerely,

Remi Oladoye
