Floyd Mayweather Jr. produced a technical knockout win over UFC champion and first-time boxer, Conor McGregor on Saturday night.
McGregor was barely able to punch back in the 9th round and by the 10th, referee Robert Byrd dived in to save McGregor from any more punishment.
The victory improved Mayweather’s record to 50-0, and allowed the typically defensive fighter to say farewell in thrilling fashion, in what he insisted was his last fight.
At the end of the day, Mayweather will earn more than $100m (£78.5m) from the fight, while McGregor is guaranteed to take home $30m (£23.5m).
The figures will however increase significantly once pay-per-view revenue is taken into consideration.
