Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan has dissociated the institution from a publication trending online which was authored by one Olatunde Latinwo, an Ibadan-based Educationist.
A statement from the Institution signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Modupe Theresa Fawale noted that neither the State Governor nor any other person interfered with the day-to-day administration of the institution.
The Authorities of The Polytechnic, Ibadan further noted that so many factors, including the Covid-19 scourge among others, are responsible for the delay in the convocation which will be combined and held very soon.
“Institutions combine convocation programs as a result of so many factors known to the highest decision-making bodies on academic affairs. In the university system, the Senate is the highest decision-making body while the Board of Studies is in the same position at the Polytechnics.
“The Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan wishes to assure the numerous Graduates and current Students of the Institution as well as their parents, Guardians, and other public and Stakeholders that the Institution will not relent in the sustenance of the tradition and culture of excellence which it is known for”, the statement read.
