Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Chief Adebayo Adelabu on Tuesday promised not to impose unnecessary tax on the people.
Adelabu gave the assurance at the Governorship Debates organised by a local radio station in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, Splash FM at the International Conference Centre, University Ibadan.
According to him , his administration would revive extincted Industries like Leyland and others to boost the economy of the state. Adelabu averred that he didn’t need to add to the burdens of the masses.
On local government autonomy, he disclosed that his administration would give autonomy to the local government so that they can function effectively and meet the yearnings of the people.
The APC Candidate also nodded his head to the alleviation of poverty and provision of infrastructures for the masses. Adelabu noted further that he won’t engage in act capable of surrendering the state asserting that he is independent minded and ready to serve.
“I would reform some policies in order to make life better for our people”.
Continuing, he promised to turn the Dugbe Central Business Centre into a big hub assuring that the state would witness a positive turn around in the next four years.
