Hon. Yomi Adefusi, the pioneer Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ibadan West Local Council Developement Area (IBWLCDA), Aleshinloye, has assured his constituents that the unique and performance driven leadership style of Governor Abiola Ajimobi would be replicated in the council area.
In a press release issued from his office at the weekend, the newly inaugurated council chief stated that with his emergence as the pioneer caretaker chairman of the council, he would galvanize his dreams and ideas, which he averred would ultimately cultivate into success stories.
“We are moving into a virgin forest and new frontiers which require a lot of planning, hardwork and total support from all and sundry,” adding that the solid foundation they laid today would determine to a large extent the enduring performance of the structure and process to be built on it.
Describing government as the promoter of human happiness and welfare, Adefusi disclosed that the demands for time and infrastructure would follow due process and priority, stressing that it would require everybody working for it.
According to him, his administration’s thrust which include unity, fairness and justice, would be anchored on an exemplary political leadership, cooperative and dedicated civil servants and the teeming population.
“The test of our progress will not be whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much, it would be whether we provide for those who have too little,” assuring that his administration would do everything possible to be an inclusive and participatory one to the best of his ability and capacity.
He, however, lauded Gov. Ajimobi for the trust bestowed on him to serve in that capacity, while expressing appreciation to All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and the teeming party members for their steadfastness, perseverance and unalloyed supports for the growth and development of the party.
The council boss then tasked all civil servants in the area to do away with tendencies that could cripple the urgent developmental activities that the council needed, stressing that the wishes of the people would have greater weight and their respective opinions would be treated with high respect.
