THE 67th birthday celebration of Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, the erstwhile governor of Oyo State was supposed to be a low key party, but the numbers of birthday cakes presented to the Ogbomoso born politician makes it elaborate as the big birthday bash was very unexpected.

The celebration caught the APC Chieftain off guard as his supporters, friends mobilized themselves to take the planning and celebration off the hands of Akala, turning it into one elaborate gift to the man they see as a worthy leader.

Saturday June 3, 2017, his Ikoyi residence in Lagos, where he celebrated his birthday, was hijacked by political Associates, who splashed gift items on him.

The highly elated celebrant, Alao Akala also hosted some politicians from his state who are seeking for his blessings and support for their aspirations.

The two term lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Awoleye had recently confirmed his interest in contesting for the most exalted position in the state.
