FRSC clears air on Osinbajo’s alleged involvement in Abuja accident

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has reacted to reports alleging that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was involved in an accident.

Bisi Kazeem, FRSC Corps Public Education Officer, disclosed that Osinbajo was not involved in an auto crash but only helped to rescue an accident victim along Airport Road in Abuja.

Speaking with NAN, Kazeem said Osinbajo and his security aides, alongside other commuters, helped pull a victim out of the accident scene.

He said that the Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, commended Osinbajo for rescuing the victim.

Kazeem said the Vice President’s action was a call to all that road safety was everybody’s business.

He blamed the crash on speeding by the driver of the affected vehicle.

He disclosed that the lone victim was only injured.

“One male was injured, but no one died. The victim has been taken to the Air Force Base Hospital, Airport Road, Abuja, for treatment by the vice-president convoy ambulance, as it happened in his presence.”
