Former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Hussaini Zanwa Akwanga, has spoken on his kidnap by yet-to-be identified gunmen.
Addressing journalists in his hometown, the ex-Minister said he was kidnapped alongside his househelp simply identified as Ali while they were in his farm located along Akwanga, Wamba road in Nassarawa state.
“Our kidnap was a sad incident to my entire family and the community.
“The abductors kidnapped us while we were in his farm to unknown destination.
“I appreciate the Nassarawa state government, traditional rulers and other Nigerians for their prayers and contribution to our safe return
“The kidnappers didn’t maltreat us,” he said
A family source who didn’t want to be named had said ransom was paid for the release of Akwanga.
