AHEAD of the forthcoming election billed for Saturday, March 9, candidates of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Oyo state and its top officials last night called on the electorates to massively vote for Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the guber nominee of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Its state chairman, Comrade Wole Abisoye , Mrs Monisola Tegbe, ZLP Leader in Ibadan North East, Mr Semiu Oladimeji Alao who contested for the Ibadan North East/South East Federal House of representatives seat, Mr Remi Olajide (contested for the Oyo South Senatorial District seat) and his counterpart, Chief Olaniyan also contested for the Oyo Central Senatorial District seat and Chief Mrs Ayoka Abawani, ( Oyo North Senatorial District) unanimously averred that Only Adelabu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has the capacity to keep to the promise because he has a track record of proven integrity and honesty.
“There is no deceit in the promise. What we need to do as a people is to queue behind, support Adelabu to realise his ambition because that is the opportunity we have towards making Oyo state an envy of all.
“Our decision to support Adelabu was purely based on our firm conviction of his ability and capability”, a source who confided in our reporter stressed.
Mega Icon Magazine reliably gathered that yhe meeting which was held at Base One, Jericho in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital last night recorded huge successes as the candidates and its top officials have concluded plans to join APC in not too distance future before the Saturday’s poll.
