Defections: Buhari meets with Oshiomhole, APC Senators

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday met with Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and some Senators elected on the platform of the ruling party.

This was confirmed by Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad.

“President @MBuhari meets with some senators of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Sen. Ahmad Lawal earlier at the Presidential Villa, Abuja,” Ahmad tweeted.

The meeting comes two days before the commencement of the President’s scheduled 10-day vacation to the United Kingdom.

Some of the senators present at the meeting were Abu Ibrahim, Katsina South; Kabir Garba Marafa, Zamfara Central; Lawan Ahmad, Senate Leader; Danjuma Goje, Gombe Central and Abdullahi Adamu, Nasarawa West.

Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the President, and Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) were also in attendance
