Court finds ex-Governor, Dariye guilty of misusing N1.16bn

A Federal Capital Territory High Court, Gudu, Abuja, has found Joshua Dariye, ex-Plateau governor guilty of misappropriating N1.16 billion Ecological Fund meant for the state.

Justice Banjoko also found Senator Joshua Dariye guilty of criminal breach of trust as regards N250 million issued to Pinnacle Communications emanating from the state’s Ecological Fund.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commision (EFCC) made the announcement on its Twitter handle.

The development came three weeks after the conviction of ex-Taraba governor, Jolly Nyame for fraud.
