Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria for defeating the indomitable lions of Cameroon 3-2 and advancing to the quarter-finals stage of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
In a statement, issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina, President Buhari recognised the hardwork and sportsmanship of the team.
The statement reads, “President Buhari recognises the hardwork, team spirit and sportsmanship the boys have exhibited in the tournament, which are good signs for a team destined to excel.
“The President urges the team and their handlers to remain focused and determined, assuring them of the fervent prayers and support of all Nigerians.”
