SENATOR Abdulfatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial District on Sunday enjoined Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of endurance, patience, and contentment in order to rise above materialism and enjoy God’s abundant blessing.
The APC lawmaker, chairing, Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime gave this charge at the 6th Abdulfatai Buhari Ramadan lecture held in Ogbomoso.
He observed that, impatience often leads to failure or destruction which is not part of Allah’s plan for human being
“Patient and contentment are good virtues, they help in achieving greatness and living a good life that is worthy of emulation, these are what we learnt from our aged parents and it works and I want to urge the younger generation to be patience and work to be closer to God .”
Admonishing Nigerians to rededicate their lives to God, the gubernatorial hopeful maintained “We have come a long way as a nation, even though we are not where we are expected to be; yet, with time and total commitment to the growth of this nation from all and sundry we shall get there”.
Also speaking on the theme of the lecture entitled : Patient Endurance and Contentment, the guest lecturer, Sheik Suleiman Al-Madani noted that Allah always bless people that are observing these virtues with greatness in life.
“ We humans are always in a hurry, we quickly want to get things done without minding the consequences but if we are patient enough to allow God’s intervention, no matter how rough the beginning may be, we will always be happy at the end”.

The Islamic preacher lauded the convener, Senator Buhari for his commitment towards promoting Islam. He, then prayed for God’s continuous blessings for him, his family and political associates .
In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Dr Saka Balogun, described Senator Buhari as a responsible lawmaker who is positively responding to the yearnings of the people.
