Asubiojo elected Oyo NANS chairman

 Comrade Asubiojo Olujuwon Marshal is the new Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Committee (JCC), Oyo state axis.

Asubiojo, a student of Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo  who was elected at the JCC convention held on Saturday at the Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Eleyele, Ibadan secured 9 votes to defeat his rival, Alamu Ayodeji who polled 7 votes.

Sixteen Senators participated in the convention.

Contained in a press statement issued by Comrade Temitope Ishola Gideon (Temmy Gista), Oyo state NANS Convention Chairman 2019 and  made available to Mega Icon Magazine, “after deliberations and voting, Comrade Asubiojo Marshal was returned elected as the New Chairman for the Oyo JCC Axis”.

The statement further reads, ” by the result of the elections conducted under my leadership as the Convention Chairman, I hereby present Comrade Asubiojo O. Marshal as the new NANS Chairman, Oyo State JCC.

“As we speak, the Nigerian Police Force, Oyo State Command and the Directorate, State Security Service have been carried along as they witnessed the process.

“Therefore, anyone, aside Comrade Asubiojo O. Marshal that parades himself as the Chairman is an impersonator and shall be arrested and be made to face the music of the law of the land.

“All other e lected officers’ names shall be released shortly”, the convention chairman added.
