Hours after former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, declared support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Dapo Abiodun, the duo met Thursday evening ahead of March 9 governorship and state houses of assembly elections.
DAILY POST reports that the meeting is still on as at 6:30pm and a statement will be released after the parley.
Abiodun is meeting Daniel, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other top party chieftains.
In attendance are former Deputy Governor, Alhaja Salmot Badru; PDP stalwart, Chief Mrs Iyabo Apampa; PDP State Leader, Chief Ogunjobi, among others.
Earlier in the day at the Remo Resource Centre, Daniel said decision and call on supporters to vote for Abiodun on Saturday, followed Ladi Adebutu’s loss at the c ourt on Wednesday.
Adebutu popularly known as Lado lost his bid for the PDP ticket to Buruji Kashamu.
