Alake to chair conference on girl child tomorrow.

THE Paramount Ruler and Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo Okukenu IV, will tomorrow , Thursday April 27,2017, be the chairman of a conference on the girl child.

The conference which takes place 11:00am at Centenary Hall, Opposite Ake Palace, Abeokuta,the Ogun State capital, is being organized by International Centre for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development ( ICLED).

ICLED, a USA/Nigerian-based organization, has been in the centre of educating people on entrepreneurship and leadership in Nigeria.

In a statement made available to newsmen by the Chairman of ICLED, Prof. (Mrs.) Olajumoke Familoni, said the theme for the conference is:“Education and Empowerment of the Girl Child and the Rural Women”.

The keynote address will be delivered by the Professor  Olajumoke Familoni,the Founder/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Initiative  For  Entrepreneurial and Capacity Development, which is the NGO arm of ICLED.

According to Prof. Familoni, “Global Initiative  For  Entrepreneurial and Capacity Development, the NGO arm of ICLED, has teamed up with Girl Rising Foundation of New York to raise voices for the Girl Child.

“ICLED has been in the process of implementation of the programme for the girl child and rural women and will be hosting a conference to educate girls and rural women”.
