Ajimobi left enduring legacy in Oyo, Soji Akanbi remembers late gov. 1 year after

Senator Adesoji Akanbi on Thursday, paid a glowing tribute to the former governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi, for his visionary leadership, bringing his spirit to life a year after his death.

Akanbi, who represented Oyo South Senatorial District between 2015-2019, in a statement signed by him and made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, described the late governor as a courageous, bold, committed, dedicated and principled leader, who was out to ensure betterment of the people of the state.

The APC chieftain, while celebrating the memory of former Governor Ajimobi, noted that, although , no one is perfect, except God, however, “the late Ajimobi would continue to be remembered for his legacy of good governance, perseverance and determi­nation, as well as his belief in building a modern Oyo”.

Senator Akanbi,  added that most times when people die, their vision and achievements are forgotten, but his (Ajimobi) legacies remain and are definitely not forgotten.

“Governor Ajimobi is my uncle , I know him to be intelligent, courageous and bold .

“As progressives, we share almost the same dreams of a better and secured  Oyo state where resources are used optimally. Where leaders and stakeholders are committed to providing the best for the citizenry, residents and making Oyo  a model for development.

“As a fearless leader and passionate public administrator, no doubt, Brother Biola left behind enduring legacies”, the statement read.
