Aide to Shittu, Communication Minister Resigns Over Unpaid N10m arrears

Mr Rasaq Olubodun, the personal Assistant to the Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu has resigned his appointment over accumulated 23 month salary arrears.

Mega Icon Magazine reliably gathered that Olubodun had earlier written the minister through his lawyer demanding 23 month salary arrears and other entitlement.

Our reporter also learnt that his salary has been paid alongside with that of the minister which was stipulated in his appointment letter dated November, 2015.

Interestingly, a meeting convened by some elders from Saki held at the Minister’s house, Aerodrome Estate, Ibadan aims at reconciling conflicting interests ended in deadlock.

Olubodun, however lamented that his family has been living on borrowing spree and begging for money from friends and family to survive.

As at the time of filling this report, all efforts made to reach the minister’s spokesperson, Mr Victor Oluwadamilare proved abortive.
