The foundation named after Generalissimo Ogedengbe Agbogungboro of Ijesa land, the legendary African warlord aims at building capacity of individuals, community as well as empowering the orphaned and less privileged people  in the society towards community based sustainable development.

In a chat with Mega Icon Magazine, Mr Olutayo Ogedengbe, President, Ogedengbe Legacy Foundation (OLF) disclosed that the foundation seeks to revive the great name of his progenitor; Ogedengbe Agbogungboro  as well as promoting cultural beliefs coupled with empowerment, making life better for the needy in our society.

According to him, “the motive behind this foundation is taking after the great warrior. During his life time, Ogedengbe used to liberate people from the oppressors . Nowadays; there isn’t any war rather we are set to make life better for Nigerians . It is simply meant to put smiles on people’s face, preserve and protect the great name Ogedengbe has bequeathed to us.

“The foundation is at its starting point and our projection is to empower over 50,000 Nigerians in twelve months. Our goodwill is for everybody irrespective of tribe, religion or what have you”, Ogedengbe continued.

Speaking further, Olutayo,  who is also the great grandson of Ogedengbe Agbogungboro noted “government cannot do everything and in our own little ways, giving back to the society is our top priority, we are ready to assist our people.
