The All Progressives Congress (APC) lost two supporters during the presidential rally in Sokoto on Wednesday.
According to Daily Trust, the deceased include a 15-year-old boy and a woman whose names were yet to be ascertained as at press time.
Eyewitnesses said that the woman lost her life after being knocked down by a moving vehicle along the road leading to Giginya Memorial Stadium, the venue of the campaign rally.
The boy, however, was said to have collapsed and died inside the venue of the rally due to large crowd.
The Information Officer of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Sokoto Operation Office, Abu-Bilal Baba-Ali, told newsmen that “the two were certified dead after NEMA officials had rushed them to the hospital.”
