2019: Olowofela resigns as Oyo Commissioner, picks APC nomination form for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency Seat

The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in Oyo State, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela has resigned his appointment from the State Cabinet in his bid to squarely pursue his campaign for election into the House of Representatives in the next political dispensation.

Olowofela, who has already procured the nomination form from the National Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, tendered his resignation letter on Monday morning to pursue his Federal House of Representatives ambition (Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency).

He posted the information on his facebook page ‘ Professor Adeniyi Olowofela quoting his resignation letter which was earlier dispatched to the State Executive Governor.

Olowofela said: “Sometimes the process is painful and hard, but don’t forget that when God is silent, HE is doing something great for you.

“Today, I tendered my resignation letter this morning to pursue my Federal House of Representatives ambition (Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency).

“I resigned following my resolution to contest the Federal House of Representatives seat having obtained the APC nomination form.

“My dear boss, Governor Abiola Ajimobi, I am grateful for finding me worthy to be appointed Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in Oyo state since June 17, 2016 out of many eminently qualified Oyo State citizens.

“Your Excellency sir, I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve and I need to reiterate that I learnt a lot about leadership, management and courage working closely with you. I am equally grateful to Almighty God that I am part of the success story of this administration due to opportunities given to me.

“There is one thing in life, you can either perish with the storm or you soar like an eagle with the storm. Once again, I am grateful to the government of Oyo state, especially the governor, his family, my party – the All Progressives Congress (APC) and members of the cabinet for the camaraderie and the bond that exist among us.

“I need to state that nobody has compelled me to leave, however, there is a policy that if you want to contest; resign, so that you will not be distracted

“I therefore expressed my appreciation for allowing me to serve my fatherland meritoriously. Sir, I am looking forward to your usual support as I step forward for next move. I am looking forward to more useful collaborative effort with His Excellency in the future to lift our dear state and Nigeria to greater heights.

“Thank you all for your support and prayers.”
