AS politicians get set for the 2019 general elections, Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state has kicked off his senatorial campaigns ahead of next year’s vote.
Posters of the governor were Sunday evening, around 9:00pm seen around Mobil / Ring road and Ago Tailor, Odo-Ona axis and other major points of attraction within the senatorial district, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, drawing the curiosity of residents.
Mega Icon Magazine, also observed that the governor’s posters posted last night had the logo of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, with the inscription – Oyo South Senatorial District.
Continuing, the posters accommodating Ajimobi’s picture bears the caption “Achievement counts”.
Oyo South Senatorial District houses nine local governments namely: Ibadan South-West, Ibadan North, Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-East.
Others are Ibadan North-East, Ido, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa East and Ibarapa North.
Governor Ajimobi is expected to contest the seat with the present occupant, Sen Adesoji Akanbi of the Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr Fola Akinosun, (ADP), Dr Kola Balogun (PDP) and Engr Nureni Adisa (ZLP) among others.
