Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde has urged Governor Abiola Ajimobi to stop the persistent area boys clashes which often lead to destruction of lives and properties.

According to him, ” it is so sad that despite huge amount of money claimed to have been spent by this government in the last 8years and the recent levies on security, the government has not been able to tame the bloodletting occasioned by area boys clashes which has characterised this regime especially in the last few years”.
Also contained in the statement, Makinde commiserated with the people who have been injured or lost their valuables to the clashes to remain calm.
He admonished people of Ibadanland, particularly the affected local governments who have been living in fear and anxiety to take solace in the fact that a new dawn is close by when such occurrence will be tackled pro actively.
