Nigeria is creating an enviable record in the annals of global tourism history as it sets to witness the inauguration of the longest swimming pool ever created by the beach front which is 120 metres with six bars.

The record breaking creation planted at La Campagne Tropicana Resort, Ikegu Village, Ibeju Lekki, and Lagos is the brain child of Ambassador Wanle Akinboboye, President of the Resort and promoter of Motherland Beckons.

Everything about the pool by the beach front   is historical and eventful, apart from being the longest, the pool was constructed within the space of 14  days, with 14 workers who worked on it 14 hours of each day (with breaks  for rest, food and rest) !

The pool which has a unique design has six bars along its course and each of these bars has their brand theme for different taste of drinks including the African palm wine.

Being the first of its kind in the global tourism scene, the management of La Campagne Tropicana Resort is packaging an intercontinental inauguration for the pool in the first month of 2017 to kick off the La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort Panorama 2017.

Pencilled for the inauguration are 30 journalists, 20 Nollywood acts, 10 Mayors and 20 Ambassadors and Diplomats.

According to an insider, the pool which has been completed, found fit and proper and decked in accordance and alignment with the pool construction guideline will be officially put into use in January as insisted by Ambassador Wanle Akinboboye

“You know Ambassador Wanle Akinboboye is a man who believes in perfect finish of a product and packages. He is being goaded by international standards and ethics in whatever he puts his neck into. Trust, he will never offer the world half baked or substandard product.”
