WAYNE Rooney is secretly trying to put opponents to the sword in online computer battles by posing as Game of Thrones character Jon Snow.
The Everton ace is a huge fan of the TV fantasy drama and uses the King in the North’s name to play footie game FIFA.
Wayne, 31, competes against strangers unaware they are tackling England’s record goalscorer.
A source said: “Wayne loves playing FIFA against pals like his old team-mate Wes Brown but sometimes he also likes to take on random strangers.
“He hides who he is by using a fake name and chose Jon Snow as he loves Game of Thrones.”
Jon Snow actor Kit Harington is also a fan of Wayne and his former club Manchester United.
The Brit screen star, 30, urged Everton fans to welcome the player back “with open arms” after he re-joined his boyhood club from United in July.
Jon put in a scorching performance of his own at the end of the recent GoT series — bedding Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen not knowing they are related.
Wayne has woman troubles too.
Pregnant wife Coleen, 31, has been seen without her wedding ring after he was caught drink-driving when he left a bar with party girl Laura Simpson, 29.
