Unidentified Cross-Dresser Found Dead Along Abuja Expressway

 

The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Benneth Igweh, has mandated an immediate investigation into the death of an unidentified cross-dresser. The body was discovered along Katampe-Mabushi Expressway in Abuja during the early hours of Thursday.

In a statement, the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said, “A distress call was received by the Command Control Room on August 8, 2024, at about 07:40 am, that an unidentified lady was seen lying motionless along Katampe-Mabushi Expressway, and a team of Detectives were immediately dispatched to the scene.”

The statement further noted that preliminary investigations revealed the individual was a man dressed in female clothing, with no means of identification.

“He was immediately taken to Maitama District Hospital where Doctors on duty confirmed him dead,” the statement continued.

“The Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Benneth Igweh has promptly ordered a thorough and discreet investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death.”
