UI Finally Lifts Ban On Students’ Union Activities

The management of the University of Ibadan, UI, has  lifted the ban on Students Union activities.

The senate met on Friday and lifted the suspension on students union activities.

According to the information scooped from Premium Times, the school spokesperson, Mr.   Tunji Oladejo,  who also confirmed the development informed that the University  is ready to conduct leadership training after the election.

“We are ready to work with the crop of new leaders so as to move the university forward,” he added.

The students had earlier  protested the inability of the management to provide identity cards for the past three semesters despite payments made by them.

They also protested an order by the management against the use electrical kitchen appliances in the halls of residence.
