President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday presided over the swearing-in of newly appointed members of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), the Federal Character Commission (FCC), and the National Population Commission (NPC).
Also sworn in were eight former directors in the Federal Civil Service, who have now been elevated to the rank of Permanent Secretaries.
This development was announced in a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy.
According to the statement, the newly inducted officials took their oaths of office at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, just before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
The swearing-in ceremony saw 21 new members joining the RMAFC, alongside one additional member each for the FCC and the NPC.
Onanuga further disclosed that the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries hail from eight different states and were selected through a rigorous process that included written and oral examinations, as well as an ICT competency test.
President Tinubu, while congratulating the appointees, charged them to uphold integrity and dedication in their respective offices, ensuring effective governance and equitable resource distribution in the country.
