A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Engr Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe on Monday commiserated with the victims of the recent fire outbreak that gutted the popular Akesan market in Oyo town, Oyo state.
Engr Tegbe said that the fire incident that led to the loss of lives and lots of property was very unfortunate.
Tegbe, who was one of the APC governorship aspirants during the 2019 elections in a statement said: “It’s with great sorrow in my heart that I commiserate with the people of Oyo town and most especially the families who lost their loved ones in yesterday’s fire incidence at the Akesan market
“It’s regrettable that lives and properties were lost in this unfortunate fire incident.
“In the face of increased incidences of fire outbreak in the recent past and the infrastructure challenges the state is facing, it’s paramount that the government of Oyo State urgently prioritize establishing a 21st century emergency response infrastructure and facility to prevent such unfortunate incident in the future.
“The life of each and every citizen is precious and must be prioritized at all times.
“May the Lord comfort the families and friends of the lost ones and the people of Oyo”, the statement concluded.
