The National Secretary of the South-West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA ), Hon. Bosun Oladele, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State following the unexpected demise of the party’s Chairman, Barr. Isaac Omodewu.
Barr. Omodewu died in the United States of America after a brief illness at the age of 61.
In a statement issued on Wednesday and made available to journalists, the former lawmaker, who represented the Irepo/Oorunsogo/Orelope Federal Constituency between 2015 – 2019, expressed his deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a “huge, painful, and irreparable” tragedy.
Oladele described the deceased as a devoted leader whose impact on the party and the state was immeasurable, emphasising Omodewu’s unwavering commitment to the growth of the APC and his pivotal role in strengthening the party’s structure within Oyo State.
“The passing of our esteemed Chairman is a tremendous loss, not only to his family and loved ones but also to the entire political community in Oyo State. His dedication and tireless efforts to foster unity and progress within the APC have left an indelible mark, and his absence will be deeply felt,” Oladele stated.
The former Commissioner for Information and Orientation in the state also reflected on Omodewu’s leadership qualities, noting that his ability to inspire and guide party members had been one of the cornerstones of the APC’s successes in recent years.
He urged the family and party members to find solace in the Chairman’s enduring legacy and to continue advancing the positive values and objectives he championed.
“As we come to terms with this great loss, let us also take a moment to celebrate a life well-lived—a life dedicated to public service, leadership, and the betterment of our party and our state. His contributions will continue to resonate, and his legacy will serve as a guiding light for all of us,” the SWAGA National Secretary concluded.
