The ruling house noted that Oba Oyewumi’s decision violates the tradition of selection of Mogaji, describing it as capable of brewing crisis in the family.

According to a sources who confided in Mega Icon Magazine, ” Prince Amzat Oyelami Ajiboye is the choice of the family, but we were shocked to hear that Prince Areo Oyeyiola Oyelami has been picked by Oba Oyewumi as the new head of our family”.

The sources added that the choice of Oyelami is not in the best interest of the family as they do not recognize him as a true son of the Gbagungboye ruling house, saying that he lacks the maturity to lead the family.

Also, at a meeting  held  at the family compound in Ogbomoso, on Wednesday, representatives  of the four wards in the compound including, Prince Abdulazees Popoola,(Oosadeyi), Prince Azeez Oyesola ( Oke), Prince Oladosu Ayoka,( Olayinka) and Alhaji Rauf Oyewumi ( Oyewumi), pledged their unflinching support and reaffirmed the choice of  Prince Amzat Oyelami Ajiboye  as Mogaji.
