THE Management of the Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, has commiserated with the family of the late Raymond King on his death on new year day.
The Club Executive Chairman, Mr Gbolagde Busari, in his reaction described the death as shocking and untimely, praying that God will give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“The news of Raymond King’s death was shocking and untimely. I was just praying after learning about his illness only for the ultimate to happen. We pray to Almighty to comfort the family at this trying period. It is a big loss to Nigerian football fraternity”, Busari concludes.
Raymond King, 52, was a former I.I.C.C. goalkeeper and was in goal when the club lost to Zamalek FC of Egypt in 1984 final of the African Clubs Champions Cup competition.
