SERAP to investigate N48b assets declared by Makinde

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called for investigation into declared assets by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

SERAP, through its Twitter handle demands to verify the assets  declared by Governor Makinde at the Code of conduct Bureau (CCB) which he made public on Monday.

While commending the governor’s bold move and commitment to transparency, the organization informed that  it has a team of volunteers that is capable of verifying these assets and would appreciate the governor’s public invitation authorising it to carry out the verification exercise.

Governor Makinde had on Monday made a public declaration of his assets worth more than N48bn plus cash, buildings and bonds.

SERAP, is a nonprofit, non partisan, legal and advocacy organization devoted to promoting transparency, accountability and respect for socioeconomic rights in Nigeria
