Senator Buhari Congratulates Oyo Governor -Elect, Makinde

THE lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari on Monday congratulated the Peoples Democratic Congress (PDP) candidate, Engr Oluseyi Makinde for emerging winner in the March 9 governorship elections.

Senator Buhari in a press statement  stated that the people have spoken with their votes and chose him as the preferred candidate to take over the  mantle of leadership from Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

The re-elected APC lawmaker also noted that Makinde’s victory was a product of consistent efforts  that has endeared him in the minds of the masses who rewarded  him with their votes.

The statement reads further, “the task ahead is fulfilling his electioneering campaigns and collaborating with other stakeholders  to improve the state”.

Buhari, however lauded the executive governor of Oyo state,  Senator Abiola Ajimobi and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for raising the standard of governance in the state.
