Senate President Proposes National Security Summit

Nigeria’s Senate President, Ahmed Lawan is proposing a national security summit to address the security situation in the country.

Senator Lawan’s proposition forms part of his contribution to a motion raised by Senator Ayo Akinyelure on the recent murder of Mrs Funke Olakurin, daughter of the Afenifere leader.

Senator Lawan believes it’s the duty of the senate to organise the security summit to proffer lasting solutions to the incessant killings across the country.

A minute of silence was held for her and other Nigerians who lost their lives under same circumstances.
