Akanran town, the capital of Ona-Ara Local Government witnessed two great events yesterday. It all started with the visit of the number one police officer in Oyo State, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Abiodun Odude who stormed Oloyo Village with his entourage to commission a Police Post built and donated to Nigeria Police by Chief Dotun Sanusi.
The Police Post situated beside Ilaji Farms was described by the Commissioner of Police as a standard one. To make the work of the police officers who will be working in the newly completed station to be effective, the Ilaji Farms and Resort boss, Sanusi, also donated a police patrol vehicle.
Odude in his address called on well-to-do Nigerians to emulate the values of Chief Sanusi who according to him is a blessing to this country.
The CP thereafter predicted that with the level of facilities put in place in the structure he sees the Police Post becoming a Divisional Police Station in the nearest future.
