Rotaract Club District 9125 Installs Olowu As 11th DRR

Awards Fijabi, Mimiola Others in Humanitarian Services, Professional Excellence

ROTARACT Club District 9125 has installed Rtr Olanrewaju Peter Olowu as the 11th District Rotaract Representative in charge of 23 states, including Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

This was just as the club gave Platinum Awards of Professionalism Excellence and Platinum Humanitarian Award of Excellence to individuals who have contributed immensely to the society and their respected professions.

The event, held recently in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, was witnessed by many dignitaries from young and dynamic entrepreneurs, businessmen, top politicians to club members as award recipients and special guests.

The Cheif Host of the Programme who doubled as the District Governor of Rotary District 9125, Dr Victor C. Onukwugha in his speech advised the Rotaractors to up their game “as Rotaract Club as been elevated.”

Onukwugha, who commended the outstanding performances of the DRR Rtr Olowu on his Outstanding performance, promised to support the Rotaract District throughout his year.

One of the recipients of the Platinum Humanitarian Award of Excellence and former federal lawmaker, Hon Saheed Akinade-Fijabi, representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West at the National Assembly, in his speech commended the club for its “immense contributions to the development of the society.

Fijabi then appreciated Rotaract Club District 9125 for finding him worthy of the award.

While declaring his readiness to support the club in its contributions to the society, Fijabi promised to sponsor some of the Rotary year projects of the club.

An award-winning journalist and recipient of Platinum Awards of Professionalism Excellence, Olaoluwa Mimiola, commended the leadership of Rotaract Club District 9125 for upholding the tenets of the club which is rooted in service to humanity.

Mimiola, who described Rtr Olowu as a calculated and progressive-minded young chap, charged him to ensure that the achievements of his administration surpass the former ones.

Other awardees included: Mr Solomon Soja Ogbole; Rotn Adeoti Kazeem Adekunle; Mr Taiwo Ewedairo; Mr Michael Olusegun Adejimi; Superior Evang. Isaac Ojo; Dr Lukman Olasunkanmi Olusesi; Mr Shotonwa Ibrahim Oluwarotimi and Hon. Uthman Mukaila.
