The lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, has congratulated Professor Adeniyi Olowofela on the completion of his tenure as Commissioner representing Oyo State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC)
Oseni, who also chairs the House Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), described Olowofela’s service at the commission as “diligent, impactful, and worthy of emulation.”
Olowofela, a former Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in Oyo State and an indigene of Ido Local Government, served as the Director General of the Remi Oseni Campaign Council during the 2023 general elections.
In a statement by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele on Thursday, the federal lawmaker said, “Prof. Olowofela has once again demonstrated that leadership is about service to humanity. His tenure at the FCC was marked by integrity, excellence, and dedication to the ideals of fairness and equity. As a brother and fellow son of Ido Local Government, I am proud of the legacies he leaves behind.”
The All Progressives Congress lawmaker also lauded the appointment of Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye as Olowofela’s successor at the commission.
Aleshinloye, a former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, was named by President Bola Tinubu as the new FCC Commissioner for Oyo State.
Oseni said, “I warmly welcome Prince Aleshinloye to this important assignment and urge him to build on the laudable achievements of his predecessor. Oyo State is blessed with capable leaders, and I believe his tenure will further strengthen our voice at the national level.”
He prayed for God’s guidance for both men in their future endeavours and called for support from stakeholders to ensure Oyo State continues to enjoy quality representation in federal institutions.
